Grandma's Birthday

This past Saturday my Grandma McHugh celebrated her 90th birthday. To commemorate the occasion her girls invited family and friends to attend 5:30 mass and enjoy dinner and dessert in the parish hall afterwards.

The Birthday Girl!
Aunt Kathy and Aunt Mary chatting some friends (the Hogan sisters) Grandma knew from when the family lived in Spearville. They now live here in Wichita as well.
Mom talking with another Hogan sister.
Fr. Ken dropped by to chat for a bit and say the blessing for dinner.

Marty and Leanne were nice enough to drive all the way from Illinois to attend Grandma's party.
Thanks a lot guys! I know Grandma really appreciated it!
Uh-oh! Looks like Paul is about to pop!

Towards the end of the night I was getting worried that we were going to get stuck taking 45 balloons home with us since we were the only family with little kids and the room in our van to transport them, so Matt and I started encouraging the cousins to start playing with the balloons.
That resulted in the following (be sure to pause the blog music before playing the video)

Anthony getting in on the delinquent behavior.
Christina's an old pro at it.
Matthew caught on pretty quickly.
My husband, the bad example.
Hey, we succeeded in only having to take home one balloon, so can you really blame us?

Grandma with all the grandkids/great-grandkids except Gerard - he had to leave early to go back to college.

Happy Birthday Grandma!
