July 4th on the 3rd

 This year Matt's family decided to have their 4th of July festivities at the ranch on the 3rd so that more people could come since they wouldn't have to work the following day.  It was the typical 4-wheeling, food eating, firework exploding good time it is every year.  Some welcome rain rolled through late in the afternoon, which helped cool things down quite a bit and wet everything enough to make us less nervous about using the fireworks.

 Given how finicky the girls can be about eating with other people around/more exciting things to be doing they did a pretty good job of eating, for them at least.

 The storm knocked the power out for a couple hours.  It eventually cleared off, but for a while it was too wet to just hang out outside so a candlelight game of SkipBo ensued
